Understanding the architecture

Documents in BlueCielo ImandrA are stored in vaults. Depending on your organization’s configuration, you might require one or more vaults, for example, one vault that contains project documents and another vault that contains master documents. A vault acts as a secure, central repository for the storage of documents while they undergo changes.

A BlueCielo ImandrA system is comprised of one or more server computers and numerous client computers. The server computers host the following components:

All of the preceding components can be installed on the same server. It is also possible to install the components on separate servers, depending on the available infrastructure, performance, scalability, and security requirements.

The following figure illustrates the location of documents when they are checked out and checked in. By default, when a document is checked out, it is copied to a pre-configured local folder known as the local workspace.
